Famous devotional poet of the country Bhajan Ratna Kavi Narayan Agrawal "Das Narayan" is not only a famous poet, but he is also known as a patriot, a social activist, a thinker and follower of humanity before anything else. Known by his nom de plums 'Das Narayan' Agrawal has been acknowledge as a prime poet of devotional songs of this era by critics, writers, Singers and the audience in general. Kavi Narayan Agrawal was born in Allahabad; he was influenced by mother Annapurnadevi and his elder brother Kunwar Chandra Agrawal. He immersed himself in the tradition of saint poets like Surdas, Kabir, Tulsi and Mira and saw himself as the representative of that tradition. The spiritual environment in which Agrawal grew up inspired him to become a devotional factor.
From time to time, India's four Prime Ministers and three Presidents have honoured him in their tenures. P. V. Narsimaha Rao (while addressing the gathering) has honoured him with "Bhajan Ratna" for his composition of "Raga – Mohan Gandhi."
